How It Works: Starting ABA Therapy With Celeration ABA
Personalized ABA therapy delivered by a BCBA
Most families come to us already carrying a lot. A recent diagnosis. A waitlist that finally moved. A gut feeling that something needs to change before kindergarten. Whatever brought you here, the first thing we want you to know is that the next step is simpler than you might expect.
Here is exactly what happens when you reach out to Celeration ABA, from your first conversation to your child's first session and everything that follows.

Step 1: A Free Consultation
Everything starts with a conversation. When you reach out, we schedule a free consultation with a member of our team. Just a real conversation about your child, what you are seeing at home, and what you are hoping therapy can help with.
We will answer your questions honestly, including the ones about cost, scheduling, and whether in-home morning ABA is realistically a fit for your family's life right now. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you that too. Our goal in this conversation is clarity.
Step 2: An ABA Assessment in Your Home
If the consultation feels right, the next step is a comprehensive ABA assessment conducted in your home by your child's BCBA. This includes direct clinical observation, in-depth interviews with you and other caregivers, and formal assessment measures as needed, designed together to understand your child as an individual: how they communicate, how they play, how they respond to transitions, what motivates them, and where the most meaningful opportunities for growth are right now.
We also spend time understanding your family's daily routines and priorities, because the best therapy plan is one that fits into your actual life. The assessment process varies based on your child’s needs and the information required to develop recommendations, and your BCBA will walk you through the findings and proposed goals before any sessions begin.
Step 3: A Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on the assessment, your BCBA builds a personalized treatment plan specific to your child's current skills, learning style, and the goals your family has identified as most important. This is the document that guides every session. It outlines what skills we are working on, how progress will be measured, and how the plan will evolve as your child grows.
At Celeration ABA, every session is delivered directly by your child's BCBA, never handed off to an RBT or other unlicensed staff. The clinician who wrote the plan is the same clinician implementing it in your home, every time. That means no gap between intention and execution, and no game of telephone between the person who designed the program and the person actually running it. The person who knows your child's program best is the person in the room.
Step 4: Sessions in Your Home
Your BCBA arrives, works directly with your child, and keeps you informed throughout. Family involvement is a core part of how we work. Your BCBA will guide you on the best way to participate based on your child's goals in any given session.
Your child's progress is tracked at every session. Your BCBA reviews data regularly and adjusts the plan as your child develops. You receive progress updates and have direct access to your BCBA between sessions, because questions do not always wait for the next appointment.

Ongoing Support, No Long-Term Contracts
There are no long-term contracts at Celeration ABA. Families continue therapy because it's working, not because they are obligated to. As your child progresses toward their goals, your BCBA will work with you on what a natural transition looks like, whether that is stepping down session frequency, shifting focus to school readiness, or moving toward a graduated exit from formal therapy.
Depending on availability and clinical appropriateness, we may also offer parent coaching as a standalone service for families who want strategies and support between sessions or after active therapy has ended. Because the skills your child builds in therapy need to carry into everyday life to matter, and you are the person who makes that happen.
Ready to Take the First Step
From your first consultation through assessment, treatment planning, and every session that follows, you work directly with the same BCBA, not a rotating team, and not an RBT carrying out someone else's plan. If you are wondering whether Celeration ABA is the right fit for your child, contact us. We serve families across the Bay Area, including San Francisco, San Mateo, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Los Altos, Cupertino, and San Jose.
